The New Mercedes-AMG Project One With 1000HP

Mercedes-AMG Project One has finally been revealed at Frankfurt Motor Show 2017

Project One is a two-seater car which brings F1 hybrid technology from race track to the road. The engine of Project One is a 1.6-litre V6 with electrically-assisted turbocharging that revs to 11,000rpm which works in collaboration with four electric motors. According to the blog of Mercedes Benz, one of the motors has been integrated in the turbocharger, another has been installed directly to the combustion engine and the two remaining motors drive the front wheels.

And the total output from the hybrid set-up exceeds 1,000bhp.

Mercedes AMG says that the top speed of Project One will be 217mph (350km/h). The automobile is capable of a 0-124mph (200km/h) in less than 6 seconds, a lower time than Bugatti Chiron which manages this result in 6.5 seconds. Although we are not autombile engineers, but bloggers, we do believe the difference of 0.5 seconds is result of the four electric motors which speed up Project One.

The high performance hybrid such as Project One has been designed with the philosophy of Formula 1 in mind, one turbo engine for the purpose of producing the main power and four electric motors to help in increasing the speed and acceleration  of the vehicle.

According to official sources, only 275 pieces will be produced and they'll cost $2.7 million each. Although such high price limits the masses for having access to the hardware Project One has to offer, as Mercedes fans we do love seeing great ideas being manifested in the third dimension by our favorite car maker brand.
